Our Board of Directors & Senior Leadership Team
Minan Majid – Group CEO
Minan founded Abstract Group in 2017 and brings over two decades of development experience. Under his leadership, the company has expanded across the UK, India, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, growing both our service offering and global client base.
Ben Houghton – Group CTO
Ben joins the board with more than 20 years of experience in Cloud and AI transformation. He has led technology teams at IRIS Software Group, UBS Bank, and Microsoft, and specialises in scalable cloud architectures, agentic AI solutions, and technical due diligence. His leadership earned the BCS IT Award for Cloud Transformation Project of the Year.
Nicola Burdon – Finance Director
Nicola brings over 12 years of financial experience across multiple industries. Since joining Abstract Group as Financial Controller in July 2024, she has played a key role in preparing the business for scale. As Finance Director, she will continue to support our growth and governance with her deep financial expertise and strategic insight.
Mark Melvin – Non-Executive Director
Mark brings extensive commercial and international experience, having served as VP for EMEA at Mach49, where he helped corporates build and scale new ventures. Previously, he was a Director at Infinity Works and continued with Accenture post-acquisition, supporting Fortune 500 companies in launching disruptive, digital-first businesses. His earlier career includes six years working across Brazil, India, and the Middle East, deploying digital health solutions and establishing joint ventures. Mark will help drive Abstract’s growth across the UK and Middle East.
Emily Wells – Head of Strategic Operations
Emily is Head of Strategic Operations at Abstract, responsible for supporting the development and execution of the company's commercial growth strategy and strengthening the operational foundations that enable Abstract's central services and leadership teams to perform at their best. She previously led Abstract's Talent division, overseeing talent-related services, internal operating model transformation, and the Talent Acquisition team. With experience across client-facing and internal leadership roles, Emily builds highly capable teams and establishes scalable processes that deliver strong business outcomes. She also continues to lead our Equality in Technology initiative, which she founded to champion diversity and inclusion in the tech sector.
Rashmi Mechineni – Head of Client Delivery
Rashmi is Head of Client Delivery at Abstract Group, responsible for ensuring client engagements are delivered to a consistently high standard, bringing together strong teams, effective processes, and measurable outcomes. She manages distributed teams across locations, including our offshore presence in India, maintaining delivery excellence and alignment with global standards. With a background in Quality Assurance and delivery operations, Rashmi establishes alignment between people, process, and outcomes to deliver strong client results.
