We’re excited to share the latest evolution in Abstract Group’s leadership, with new appointments to our Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team. These additions reflect our continued commitment to delivering scalable, lasting transformation through advanced technology and exceptional talent. By expanding our leadership team, we’re building on our strong foundation and preparing for the next phase of growth across our global markets.
Our Board of Directors & Senior Leadership Team
Minan Majid – Group CEO
Minan founded Abstract Group in 2017 and brings over two decades of development experience. Under his leadership, the company has expanded across the UK, India, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, growing both our service offering and global client base.
Ben Houghton – Group CTO
Ben joins the board with more than 20 years of experience in Cloud and AI transformation. He has led technology teams at IRIS Software Group, UBS Bank, and Microsoft, and specialises in scalable cloud architectures, agentic AI solutions, and technical due diligence. His leadership earned the BCS IT Award for Cloud Transformation Project of the Year.
Nicola Burdon – Finance Director
Nicola brings over 12 years of financial experience across multiple industries. Since joining Abstract Group as Financial Controller in July 2024, she has played a key role in preparing the business for scale. As Finance Director, she will continue to support our growth and governance with her deep financial expertise and strategic insight.
James Morgan – Non-Executive Director
James played a pivotal role in the success of Infinity Works, serving as Commercial Director and Board Member before overseeing its sale to Accenture in 2021. He later became CEO through the integration process and went on to establish and lead Accenture’s Next Gen Engineering Business across the UK and India. James also served as UK Managing Director and sat on the Accenture Technology Executive Board for three years. His extensive leadership experience will help guide Abstract’s strategic direction and continued growth.
Mark Melvin – Non-Executive Director
Mark brings extensive commercial and international experience, having served as VP for EMEA at Mach49, where he helped corporates build and scale new ventures. Previously, he was a Director at Infinity Works and continued with Accenture post-acquisition, supporting Fortune 500 companies in launching disruptive, digital-first businesses. His earlier career includes six years working across Brazil, India, and the Middle East, deploying digital health solutions and establishing joint ventures. Mark will help drive Abstract’s growth across the UK and Middle East.
Emily Wells – Head of Talent
Emily leads Abstract’s talent division, delivering all talent-related services and helping clients build internal capability to support their technology strategies and transformation plans. She brings extensive experience placing leaders and developing talent strategies for scaling businesses. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Emily will continue to shape our hiring and talent strategy to ensure we’re ready to scale. She also continues to lead our Equality in Technology initiative, which she founded to champion diversity and inclusion in the tech sector.
Rashmi Mechineni – Head of Engineering Operations
Rashmi oversees Abstract’s technical operations, ensuring projects are effectively resourced and acting as the bridge between clients and technical teams. She also manages our offshore team in India, maintaining operational excellence and alignment with global delivery standards. With a background in Lead Quality Assurance roles and engineering operations, Rashmi will use her technical and operational expertise to scale our engineering capabilities across regions and drive high levels of customer satisfaction.
