Having joined Abstract Group recently, the Jaipur rendezvous was a great opportunity for me to meet the wider India team face‑to‑face for the first time. The aim of the trip was to build teamwork and strengthen our commitment to delivering quality work.

We began with a team dinner on the first evening. The time was spent connecting with each other and simply enjoying ourselves. The evening passed in the wonderful company of colleagues and friends, accompanied by the delicious food of the Rajas of Jaipur.

The days ahead were set to be fascinating, filled with Jaipur’s royal history, pink‑hued mahals, and energetic sightseeing.

Arrival

The colourful, vibrant, and buzzing city brought out the tourist in each of us. We set off to explore Amer Fort, which gave us insight into the lives of the royals. Panna Meena Pani ka Kund and the Hawa Mahal revealed more of Jaipur’s rich cultural heritage.

A visit to Johari Bazar allowed us to experience local traditions, craftsmanship, and a guided look at Jaipur’s famous jewellery. Mansarovar, the palatial early‑century luxury hotel, was the perfect choice for our stay, giving each team member a royal experience and making us all feel valued.

For someone still new to the organisation, spending time with experienced leaders, CEO Majid Minan and CTO Ben Hughton, was particularly memorable. It was a valuable moment to learn, listen, and experience the presence of great minds.

The team‑building trip was coordinated by Rashmi Mechineni, Head of Engineering Operations. Her meticulous preparation showed in every detail, creating a relaxed and organised atmosphere. Our group included everyone, from senior, experienced engineers to new interns, which made exploring both Jaipur and our colleagues even more enjoyable as we shared quality time together.

Silver Lining of the Trip

One especially memorable night was spent at Forestta, where we enjoyed a mystical dinner followed by a lively dance night.

Final Reflections

The Jaipur Rendezvous was, above all, an opportunity to explore, prioritise work, and actively participate in all aspects of team building. The shared experiences, guidance, and advice throughout the trip helped us learn to face challenges and grow together as a team.

For me, as someone who has only recently joined Abstract Group, the trip was a meaningful chance to build relationships, understand the wider team, and feel more connected to the organisation. The outcome was a sense of becoming better individuals, embracing good work ethics, and returning with genuine contentment.
